2 Cor 8:9 "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." We, like Jesus and the poor widow, should give ourselves in "Total Sacrifice" out of love for God and our fellow man.
A sermon based on Eph 4:7-16. We have all been gifted by God with certain characteristics and talents "for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." Each believer's specific talents can be used to help the church build itself up in love, as each part does its work.
What would it cost you to follow Jesus? Abram believed God's promise that if he left his home, the whole world would be blessed through him. "So Abram went." The apostle Paul counted "everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ." So should we.
We wonder, sometimes, how we will get through troubles in life. The Lamb of God, Jesus, who was slain for our sins, shows us our future in the scroll that only He was able to open and reveal. This gives us hope. We become in Him a Kingdom and priests for this world as we reveal Him to it. We praise Him for that
A simple theme for all of the book of Revelation is "Jesus Wins." He is the Alpha and Omega, the start and finish, our reason for life, our purpose and goal. We should keep this in mind in everything we do. In all, do not be afraid. He lives and so shall we, in and with him. He holds the keys that "Unlock permanent Victory" and freedom from fear and death for us. We see this victory with the eyes of faith.
Even though many of the faithful Old Testament characters acted sinfully in their lives, we concentrate mainly on the faith in God that they had and how it got them through their troubles. Though we sin daily, as did they, we also should be "fixing our eyes on Jesus", our Savior and foundation of our faith "so that we will not grow weary and lose heart" as we become a part of the "great cloud of witnesses" for Him.

God can use even the plans of evil ones to bring about His will. Christ Jesus is the solid rock of our faith who was made flesh and suffered death in our place. All who place faith and trust in Him have Him as their cornerstone and foundation upon which they are built. We stand firm on Him.
We have ups and downs in our daily relationship with God. The battle rages constantly but we are strongest when we humble ourselves and repent. As God sees our faith in Jesus, He sees only His righteousness in us.
